Maybe Direct Sales Isn't For You
Let's take a time out here to talk about the
possibility that
direct sales isn't for you.
It's only been a little over two weeks since you downloaded
the
"Choose Your Opportunity" guide and while some
of you may have
already made a decision, there's no rush. If you're still
completely undecided about what you want to do, that's fine.
Take your time. If you're finding yourself thinking that
it just
doesn't sound like what you want to do, that's okay too.
There
are many types of businesses you can run from home.
Here are a few reasons why direct
sales might not be the right choice for you.
1 - In order to succeed at direct sales, you must sell
products
and some people just aren't cut out for sales. Of course,
no
matter what you do, you'll have to "sell yourself,"
but there
are alternatives that don't require you be as much of a
face-to-face salesperson.
2 - When you join a direct sales company you are an independent
consultant who makes many of your own decisions, but all
companies have policies and guidelines that must be followed.
You may find some companies' policies too restrictive for
your
goals and personality.
3 - Direct sales is a very inexpensive way to start a business,
but there are start-up and ongoing costs. Other alternatives
may cost less to get started.

give up... there's something there for you.
